We getting ready to enable active directory on out Call Manager 7.1.3b and Unity Connection. My question is, is there a list of fields that we can populate both a 10-digit and a 4-digit number? Or a comprehensive list of all the fields that we can use?

Thanks

Bernece

Here is the SRND Guide for LDAP:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/7x/directry.html

And here is the admin guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/7_1_2/ccmcfg/b02ldsys.html

Remember:   the user ID in CUCM must match the user ID in AD LDAP.  If they do not match or CUCM does not find a match, it will delete the user from CUCM.  (if you already have users created in CUCM)

You basically can only use one field to pull the telephone number from.  (Telephone or IPPHONE)

My advise, integrate CUCM with LDAP, but do not use AXL between CUCM and CUC.

Integrate CUC separately to LDAP.   You can then manipulate the telephone number from 10 digit to 4 digit or whatever you want.

When you use AXL and CUCM, the CUCM users must be associated to device and a line, then select the primary line on the user, THEN you can finally import the user from CUCM to CUC.

CUC does not care about the telephone field in CUCM.  (If you are using AXL)   the telephone field is only used for the Corporate Directory listing on the IP phone.

If you have 10 digit or 4 digit in the telephone or IPPHONE field, you can use translations to fix the dial from Corp Directory.

I will try that out. Is there a good document on that references this information? Or is a piece gathering?

Thank you for your assistance. We will be adding active directory over the next couple of months.
