Hi,

is there possible to have a 2821 router acting as an IP2IP GW, PSTN GW and gatekeeper at the same time without having any issues or would it be better to move the gatekeeper role into another box ?

Regards,

It is possible.

Issues or not, depends on what you're trying to do and for much traffic.

Hi,

what I currently have is a 2821 with 256DRAM, 64k flash, two PVDM2-64 modules, two VWIC2 E1/T1 cards and an NM-CUE for voice mail. What I want to achieve is to configure it as the front end IP2IP gw, gatekeeper and PSTN gateway for the Call Manager installed at the branch office. It will have to support up to 10 concurrent calls over the WAN using g729 codec plus the channels from the two E1/T1 cards (60) for PSTN access. It also provides transcoding resources to the Call Manager server. At this point, what are the chances of having it overloaded ?

Regards,

Davi.

I think it will be enough, but if is not, only have to replace for a bigger one.
