MGCP gateway Media Resouce Group List

Question........

Under MGCP Gateway Configuration, the media resource group list is set to "none."  When set to "none," what does the gateway use?  In other words, is there a default list that gets applied?

Hi

If something has no MRGL assigned, it will use resources that are not assigned to any resource list. That is, if you don't add a certain MoH server (or other media resource) to at least one MRG, then it goes into a default pool used by any device.

Bear in mind you may have an MRGL assigned at the device pool level that will apply to the gateway even though the gateway-specific MRGL is set to none.
