Answered Question
Mar 5th, 2010

Hi all,

I tried to run the its-CISCO.2.0.1.0.tcl  on my 2801 router

I added the files to router flash memory and I added the following configuration:

application
  service autoatt flash:its-CISCO.2.0.1.0.tcl
  param operator 0
  paramspace english language en
  paramspace english index 0
  paramspace english location flash:
  paramspace english prefix en
  param aa-pilot 8000
  !

I am not sure about the how to make the dial-peers and the call flow

any help??

I have this problem too.

Do you mean, I should add the command "service SSSS" in all incoming dial-peer to activate the service? (it is like trigger)

You need to the the command on the necessary DP only, depending on what you want to do.

but why I do not need it to activate services for local phones?.

Because generally, local phones do not use auto-attendant.

I just need to know how it is work and who the router dealing with it so I can do it and troubleshoot it.

Refer to my second post above.

I have CME and FXS and FXO.

I placed call form analog phone connected to FXS to 8000

But could you please give me full details ( or if you have any link about this) I am testing the setup using analog (in my lab) but I need to configure using digital and voip.

Paolo Bevilacqua Fri, 03/05/2010 - 04:38

dial-peer voice xx pots

     service foo

     port x/x/x

Digital ports use "incoming called-number ." instead of "port".

same for voip DP, plus "codec g711u" and "no vad".

Thank you for the nice rating and good luck.

Thnk you for your reply, and I added the rate for your two posts.

so, In my case (FXS let me say it is 0/3/0)

I hvave to add:

dial-peer voice 5 pots

service (the name of the service)

port 0/3/0

dial-peer voice 20 voip

destination-pattern 8...

session target ipv4:(MY CME Telephony Interface)

no vad

codec g711u

and then if I dial 8000 from my FXS I should call the phone 800 ???????

The first config activate service when going off-hook. Typically used for FXO.

Generally is not needed to activate services for local phones. When it is, ideally the service should support mode "out-bound°.

Otherwise can work as in your example but "incoming called number° is requred, and a dtmf-relay method.

Actully this is my concern

I do not know how the Tcl will work exactly.

Thank you too much

You mean just the incoming dial-peer ??

and one more question, if I need to change the sounds file, I think I just need to over-write the file in flash with same name?

Paolo Bevilacqua Fri, 03/05/2010 - 11:53

Yes. Services are activated by incoming DP, except for services supporting out-bound mode (not your case)

Unfortunately you cannot change the audio file without a reload, because even if you overwrite file in flash, IOS caches the content and no there is no know working way to refresh it.

very nice note, Thank you too much about it.

I asked you too much, but could you please just give me a brief about out-band?

Paolo Bevilacqua Fri, 03/05/2010 - 12:08

Service is configured with out-bound keyword, and script entry point is ev_handoff instead of ev_setup_indication.

Generally, my scripts do support both.

Hi Paolo,

I've a CME with the its-CISCO.2.0.1.0.tcl working on it, with the following config:

application

  service cmeaa flash:its-CISCO.2.0.1.0.tcl

  param aa-pilot 6200

  paramspace english index 0

  param operator 6203

The call is received well on the welcome message when calling to 6200.

But when you press 0 to call operator, it takes 10-12 seconds to proceed the transfer to dn 6203, which is a registered ip phone.

That delay is the normal behaviour of the tcl? or there is some config missed?

Should I use param operator 0, and then translate 0 to 6203?

Please let me know.

TIA
