Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

The CSS is our legacy load balancer and the ACE 4710 is our next-gen load balancer.  Either one will easily meet the needs of the requirement you detailed, but the future of load balancing at Cisco is with the ACE.  The CSS is mostly in maintenance mode now with only bug fixes being added, and no new features.  The ACE is being fully developed and includes many features that the CSS does not including built-in SSL, application optimization and acceleration, virtualization, role-based access controls, and more.  It even includes a built-in Web Browser-Based GUI.

Hope this helps,

Sean
