SRST and 9 for outbound line

I have a router that acts as an srst GW, the same router is the GW (h323). When in normal mode, the digits get sent to the GW and the CM strips the 9 but during SRST, the router handles call processing and rather than have dial peers with a 9 in front of them, is there an easier way. I was told 9 secondary dial tone command but it does not seem to work. Any help is appreciated.

Hi

I would reconfig CCM so that it doesn't strip the 9, then set your dial-peers to

destination-pattern 9T

This would then work for both SRST calls and normal ones.

Otherwise, to keep the current setup, you would have to have two dial-peers for each one you have currently (one with and one without the 9). You may also get odd issues with overlaps of your internal extensions and some PSTN numbers/codes.

Secondary dial tone command just determines when the dial tone changes (i.e. when you press 9 in your command example)

Regards
