Object tracking with Def Route

Track and sla is up but default route override is not working. Per below, I have a static btwn the 172 host across WAN and tracking it. I am using Lo172 on both side so when I do a shut on HQ Lo172 side, the track should go down and the default route for 192 net should override the current def route for 10 but does not . If I try changing the admin dist for 192 from 10 to 8, it just installs the 0/0 for 192 net into the routing table so is a manual override for the 0/0 for 10 net. I do not want a manual override but an dynamic auto override. When I do a sh ip route track...it appears to verify that tracking it on

nevermind  - it fix...i put the track on the wrong def route, should be on

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.1.1 9 name TO-S-CORE1-UK track 10

Hello Aamercado,

yes the track has to be on the primary route

I would also make the secondary route floating by using the AD parameter like

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 10 name TO-DSL-ROUTER 200
