I bought a Linksys SRW224G4 3 days ago and yesterday i had the time to made some configuration.

Today, i plugged in the power cord and wondered why all LEDs were on.

The Switch wasn't reachable over the network,  so plugged in the Serial-Cable and saw this:

The Switch is looping the whole time and reflashing the firmware doesn't change anything.

Any suggestion?

Kind regards

Michael,  did you flash the fw using the XMODEM procedure on page 64 of the Admin Guide?  If so what version of the fw are you flashing it with?  I just looked on the Software Download page and the only version I see available is version 1.2.2a, but your output seems to be trying (and failing) to load 1.2.2b.  If possible can you down load the 1.2.2a version from our Software Download page and try flashing it with the page 64 procedures?

Regards,

Glenn

Glenn, thanks for your response.

Yes , i flashed the fw using the XMODEM.

I forgot to mention that the hardware revision of my switch is 1.1.

According to the Cisco documentation, it's not pssible to use the 1.2.2a version of the fw for the 1.1 hardware revision.

The 1.2.2a version is for the 1.0 revision.

Here i found the one for the 1.1 revision.

I found some old threads in the Linksys community about this matter and the had to turn in the switch for repair.

Today, i did the same and i will see if the new one works.

But thanks for your support.

Regards,

Michael
