Hello,
I'm at a complete loss on this one, I have an analog phone on which we have been trying to use STCAPP for FAC but in order to start the STCAPP service I need to remove the destination-pattern from the dial-peer, when I do so, the dialtone gets replaced with a busy tone.
All of this is on Cisco 2821 H.323 Gateway (IOS 12.4(24)) using a VIC-4FXS/DID card, the phone number is configured in CUCM 7.1 as a route pattern with the 2821 as the gateway/routelist.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Likely busy tone because registration is unsuccesulf, have you configure an analog emulation phone with the correct MAC on CCM ?
There are also various show stcapp comamnds to verify that.

Analog emulation or something like that.
These will be handled like true phones, not h.323 gateway.
It must be described somewhere in the documentation.

Hi
There's some info at this URL (for a VG202, but the idea is the same):
Looks to me like you don't have dial-peers set correctly, i.e.
dial-peer voice 1 pots
service stcapp
port 0/0
Also when you add the gateway to CCM, add it as protocol 'SCCP', put in the MAC address of the LAN interface you have bound SCCP to, and configure each port with a DN/CSS etc as you would with an IP Phone.
Regards
Aaron

Thanks for the quick response.
Excuse my lack of knowledge on the matter, I'm still going thru guides on this one.
When selecting the phone type in the drop down menu, which is the one I should be selecting? Right now the only configuration at the CUCM that I have is a route pattern with the extension number. I did that following other FXS analog phones already in place in the CUCM.

Thanks Aaron, that was extremely helpful.
Had to scratch the gateway at CUCM and add it as a SCCP 2821, once there I had to configure the modules. The analog ports are now registered with CUCM and the FACs are working.

Got it now.
Thanks a lot.
