hi,
running connection 7.1.2 with visual voicemail configured. we can access everything on the phone and see what the voimails, however all external calls show up as "Unity Connection" and do not display the External number. If IP Phone A leaves a message for IP Phone B, on IP Phone B it displays correctly that VM was left from IP PHone A......so for internal calls this is working correctly.
Only for external calls that instead of showing the external number is shows "Unity Connection". CLI is definetely being passed from telco to gateway to callmanager.
Anyone else ran into this or have some ideas?
thanks

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/administration/guide/7xcucsag170.html
check out table 19-1
Play with the settings to get the Subject line to show the correct number you would like.

When we receive the message via IMAP, the subject field is correct.
When using Visual VoiceMail on the phone there is no subject field, it only displays where the call came from and in our case it shows it came from Unity Connection instead of showing the External cli.
So thanks for that link but not quite what we are looking for.
thanks

Sounds like some kind of bug with the phone firmware. If its in IMAP, then its in the subject line of all voicemails. Try upgrading or downgrading your phone firmware or if you are using for example 7945, try a 7975

Turns out it was a bug in Unity Connection 7.1.2 - upgraded to 7.1.3 and a
