USA Calling UK

Peter Valdes

Hi,

I have the following setup on my USA Chicago network

CUCM Publisher 7.1.3.20000-2

CUCM Subscriber 7.1.3.20000-2

VG2811 (C2800NM-IPVOICEK9-M), Version 12.4(7d)

Route Pattern: 9.011!#

Calling from Chicago to Australia/Asia/Japan/Middle East via the International Route Pattern works perfectly. When I call UK using the number

9 011 44XXXXXXXXXX# I get a recording "your call cannot be completed as dialed"

My debug q931 below:

000104: Mar 10 2010 23:39:18.419 GMT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x0084
        Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2
                Standard = CCITT
                Transfer Capability = Speech
                Transfer Mode = Circuit
                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
        Channel ID i = 0xA98397
                Exclusive, Channel 23
        Calling Party Number i = 0x2181, '312803XXXX'
                Plan:ISDN, Type:National
        Called Party Number i = 0x91, '01144XXXXXXXXXX'
                Plan:ISDN, Type:International <-- NOTE
000105: Mar 10 2010 23:39:18.503 GMT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8  callref = 0x8084
        Cause i = 0x809C - Invalid number format (incomplete number)

The local carrier advises that my device is sending Plan ISDN type "International" to them and will only accept "unknown" call types.

Below is another debug q931 to Australia that connects:

000117: Mar 10 2010 23:41:32.646 GMT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x0086

        Progress Ind i = 0x8088 - In-band info or appropriate now available
000120: Mar 10 2010 23:41:37.174 GMT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> DISCONNECT pd = 8  callref = 0x0086
        Cause i = 0x8090 - Normal call clearing
000121: Mar 10 2010 23:41:37.450 GMT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE pd = 8  callref = 0x8086
000122: Mar 10 2010 23:41:37.454 GMT: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> RELEASE_COMP pd = 8  callref = 0x0086

I have check all settings in CUCM and all set to default or CallManager under Route Pattern and H.323 Gateway.

Help.

Thanks

Are you using MGCP or h.323 ?

HI,

I'm using H.323. Calling other countries, I connect perfectly. UK, no go.

Thanks
