Hi,
I deeply regret having purchased a WRVS4400N less then a year ago. I have the crappy v1 model with
firmware V1.1.0.3. I have downloaded from cisco WRVS4400N support page wrvs4400n_v1_fw_v1.1.13.zip
but I can't update the firmware from a wired connection.
My router stop functioning about every 12-20hrs. (wireless and sometime wired.) I need to reboot the router on a daylie basis.
I did some basic configuration:
-wireless configuration with mac filtering.
-ip reservation to mac.
-disabled ips (was slowing down my internet connection by 50%.)
When I try to update the firmware I get :
"
Upgrade file is not the correct type or version for this device.
Upgrade failed.
Please obtain the correct file and try again.
"
I'm confused. What a piece of junk!
Thanks to anyone that can help me with this problem / Anyone can recommend a good wireless router for about 300$?
A
