IPoA conenction with ASA5505

Answered Question

HI,

Is IPoA connection is supported direct conenct to ASA5505 outside interface, I have a speedtouch ST536 as the router firewall switch and I want to replace that with ASA5505.

My DSL service (in Singapore) is a StarHub IPoA service, not PPoE

Regards

I'm afraid not. The ASA only uses ethernet connections so you would need a router to terminate the ATM connection and then present it as ethernet to the ASA.
