Failing to connect from Windows to ASA5505 L2TP/IPSEC VPN

I have setup my ASA 5505 to accept remote vpn access using

L2TP/IPSEC. I created the tunnel using the ASDM remote vpn wizard. Unfortunatly it does not work. I've tried to configure both Vista and Windows 7 clients (using preshared key) but all I get is an "Error: 789....."

Anyone out there know of any howto guides that could help.

Check to make sure that ISAKMP (UDP/500) is available, and not being blocked by your ISP, or locally by your firewall setting, or other 3rd party app.  Also check to make sure 'IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules" and "Ipsec Policy Agent' services have started on your Vista and Windows 7 clients.

if your clinets reside behind router/firewal on PAT

ed network you need to enable nat-traversal mechanism on ASA box.

"crypto isakmp nat-traversal  30"
