Traceroute Query

Hi,

I have only just recently noticed this but l am getting very different traceroute responses when going to external sites.

As you can see now is that from Hop 3 the Second Probe is timing out and from Hops 4-5 the Reply Time is quite high for Probes 1 ??

Could someone possibly suggest why this would be happening ???

these hops (routers) are they all in your network? or it crossed your internet router and in the ISP domain. cause, i cant figure out the IP scheme there is. you shouldnt get class A 10.0.0.0 route outside your network (in public network) but i see plenty of public IPs before that point.

anywho, if they are outside your network, you gotta contact your ISP. if they are inside your network, then you need to check hop by hop in your network starting from hope number 2 (after 2). there is latency and packet drop. you would need to troublshoot link by link.
