Destination-pattern starts with #

I've converted my customer's vg224 which was configured as MGCP to H.323 as I migrated from CM v4 to CM v7 and I'm having issues with dialing anything starts with #.

they had a paging system configured to dial #xx and it worked fine with MGCP however, as soon as you dial #, you get a busy tone from analog phone connected to VG224. I think VG224 is taking # as the end of digit delimiter.

However, from IP Phone I can dial #xx and call gets thru to one of FXO port on 2821 router.

If # is not allowed as the leading digit, will I have the same issue when this router becomes SRST router as users will dial #xx from their IP Phone?

Can someone provide me documentation that # is not allowed as leading digit? I found one for 3640 but can't verify with vg224.

I have this problem too.
