Transform PRI connectors from BNC to RJ45

Hello,

I need to connect 3 PRI lines to the Voice Gateway we have  installed. The VWIC cards we are using are 1 VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 and 1  VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 on a Cisco 2821 router but the end PRI connectors on customer  facilities are coax BNCs. We have found the CAB-E1-RJ45BNC = E1 Cable RJ45 to dual BNC (unbalanced) and would like to know if this Cisco product could be used in order to transform BNC to RJ and extend the PRI signal to  the voice gateway. If so, how can we do it? The adaptor has 2BNC, can we connect 2 PRIs to 1 cable and the last PRI to another cable? Is it necessary to teminate the unused BNC? Have anybody used this cable for this issue?

I would appreciate your help,

Thanks in advanced

Hi

I've not used that part, but have used generic adapters for this purpose.

A BNC pair of cables is a single PRI - you have separate transmit and receive cables, so you put BOTH into the adapter, and get the RJ48 connector on the other end which includes both tx/rx pairs in one cable.
