Remote SPAN between 6506-E

Hi folks,

I have 2 Switches Core 6506-E and I already have 2 monitor sessions for SPAN per switch. This is the configuration:

SW1:

//SPAN for IPS1

monitor session 1 source interface Gi2/13 , Gi2/17 - 20 , Gi2/23 - 48
monitor session 1 source interface Gi3/1 - 20 , Gi3/22 - 47
monitor session 1 source interface Po2 , Po3
monitor session 1 destination interface Gi3/48

//SPAN for IPS2
monitor session 2 source vlan 33
monitor session 2 destination interface Gi3/21

SW2:

//SPAN for IPS3

monitor session 1 source interface Gi2/13 - 14 , Gi2/17 - 20 , Gi2/23 - 48
monitor session 1 source interface Gi3/1 - 46
monitor session 1 source interface Po2 , Po3
monitor session 1 destination interface Gi3/48

//SPAN for IPS4

monitor session 2 source vlan 3
monitor session 2 destination interface Gi3/47

Both switches are connect through a Portchannel interface.

In SW2 the SPAN for IPS4 receives the local traffic from VLAN 3 but I can't see the traffic of VLAN 3 in SW1. How should I configure Remote SPAN in order to see traffic of VLAN 3 from the other Switch Core?? Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes you need to setup RSPAN. You need to setup a dedicated vlan for your RSPAN that will tag your RSPAN  traffic and make sure that vlan is trunked between your switches.
