ACE VIP IP Address not from directly connected network

Is it possible assuming the correct routing is in place to create a VIP on the ACE module whose IP address is not from a directly connected network?

Yes, this is possible.

Compare it with a loopback address. Make sure your routing is configured properly (static route to VIP on upstream router) and you're good to go.
