VSOM camera archive best practice question

I'm currently extending our archive record loops and I'm starting to wornder what kind of percent of total disk capacity I should leave as available capacity once i'm done with all of the cameras.  I'm working with a 24TB server which is actually 21.82TB on about 100 cameras mixed of IP and Analog cameras.  The installer left it with about 60% capacity as available.

Thank you in advance.

You may have already figured this out but here goes.

You can use Cisco's VSM quote tool to get the best mix for the space you have. Are you 100% recording or using motion/event recording?

Your media server should be set up to use 95% of the available space. That is to say even if VSOM thinks the storage space is totally full it's really only 95%. I believe that is to keep the VSMS from crashing.

Good luck.
