Optimizing Shaping and Policing Parameters

I work on large Telepresence networks where packets can't be dropped.  There is a great deal of Ethernet being used and the different routing platforms have different capabilities, and Ethernet doesn't communicate from PE to CE, so it isn't like ATM UNI and Frame Relay UNI where both platforms hopefully followed the standard for congestion management and QoS.

Has anyone seen any white papers or good discussions on how to optimize your QoS policies over Ethernet, particularly the shape average command's bc on your CE router when your carrier's PE router has a policer that has a specifc known bc? 

I have this problem too.

ok i will assume that you already aware of the CTS endpoints requirements single screen and triple screen endpoints also if you have auto collaboration like sharing a presentation this will add bandwidth and if you have interoperability enabled you need about 1 Mb extra

also for the CTMS link to the WAN you will need the bandwidth will be the aggregate of all sites bandwidth

for shaping according to cisco Telepresence SRND the best is to have the TC 20ms when you calculate your shaping
