Possible Oudated Router Software

Hello There,

I hope this is the right place to post my router questions. I have been notified recently by network security expert that our internet router is running outdated version of Cisco IOS. I need to know how to upgrade to the latest IOS software since my route has been discontinued. I have a 1700 series router.

Hi Harry-

Even though your router is end of life, you can still download the latest version of IOS for it. Cisco has stopped bug fixes and feature enhancements though. Here's a how-to on upgrading your IOS too.
