SRW224G4 - POST - Fail

Hi,

I have a Linksys SRW224G4 with me. I have successfuly connected the switch with console.

When i reboot the switch, it shows me something like this.

------ Performing the Power-On Self Test (POST) ------

UART Channel Loopback Test ......................... FAIL

After this message nothing comes up, its like the switch gets hanged up.

Sometime it actually works, but when it says " Autoboot 2 seconds to press ESC or RETURN" and even if i press ESC or Enter, nothing happens. Later on the switch reboots again by itself.

Can anyone help me out in this matter.

Basically i forgot the password which i had set about 6 months back, now i am stuck.

Looking forward for a quick and positive reply.

If it is still under warranty, I would suggest calling our support center.

Thanks for the reply. The switch is not in warranty any more. Can it be fixed or not.
