How to add a 7937G ip phone to the call manager version 6.0.1.2000-3. It is not on the list when I go to Device - Phone - Add new - Phone type

Read once again my post, i said "device pack" NOT "service pack". They're not the same thing and shouldn't be confused.

Symptom:
polycom 7937 phone not showing in phone create  menu

Conditions:
CUCM 6.0 or earlier

Workaround:
Install latest dev pack : phone was added in following packages
4-1-DevPack-59
4-2-3DevPack-36
4-3-1-DevPack-16
5-1-2-3111-1 
5.1.3.2104-1
6-0-1-2111-1


There is no other way, if you want to use the 7937 you NEED to install the devpack, which requires a cluster reboot as it will add support for new models.

Thank you for the answer.

Installing a service pack may or may not have implications to other systems, like Unity or UCCX. I am looking for a different solution, if there is one available.
