Hi All,

We have 1841 IOSFW (WAN Router) which is connected to Provider Internet Router.
Yesterday I have upgraded the IOS from Old 12.4(11) to New 12.4(19).
I checked the CPU & Memory usage for last one week and it is normal (memory used up to 30 Mbytes).
Today I just cleared the NAT translations "clear ip nat tra fo" after that router got hang and rebooted itself.

We found in flash that crash dump has been created. Please find the below #sh flash & #sh ver details:

Hello Naidu,

as Leo has noted there is no bug free IOS image.

with this in mind I like to use 12.4T versions rather then main line.

I would try to install a 12.4(20)T2 version for your device same feature set.

I wouldn't use a very last version like 12.4(24)T.

Take it as a suggestion with no guaranties of success.

Also I would consider to keep the old working image unless you have a need for this change.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe,

It would be great if you could suggest me the latest bug free IOS for cisco 1841 (with exact url if possible).

My requirements:

a. We run DMVPN & IPSEC tunnels between hub & spoke

b. We run OSPF routing protocol

c. We run Video conference also through the same line

Regards,

Naidu.

There is no such thing as a bug-free IOS.  You have to go through the Release Notes of the version of your choice.
