Deleted WLAN but SSID is still being broadcast by Access Points

Hi,

My customer has a large site with 200+ access points. The access points are all 1142 model and the controllers are WiSMs running 5.2.193.0

I created a new SSID for testing and have now deleted it. However - all the access points in the building are still broadcasting the test SSID. The only way I have been able to get APs to stop broadcasting the SSID is to reset them.

I am reluctant to reboot the controllers if I can avoid it. Looks like there is an obvious bug here - has anyone come across this before?

also if I run the command "show ap config 802.11a <apname>" under Station Configuration, Number of WLANs, it says Number of WLANs = 17

Every access point is a member of an AP Group and every AP Group only contains 3 WLANS. After resetting an AP the Number of WLANS resets to 3 and the deleted SSID is no longer broadcast.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue further?

I have this problem too.
