Does the Cisco Aironet 1200 AP supports WPA2 encryption?

My AP has these versions:

System Software Version - 12.3.(8)JED

Bootloader Version - 12.3(2)JA4

Thanks, ii

The 1231's support WPA2/AES but 1220's do not.  Basically it comes down to the radio in the AP.  If its an 802.11g radio is should support WPA2/AES.  If it is only a 802.11b radio it won't.

Hi Dan

All my 1200_AP's have 802.11G radio and I have updated it to the latest software version but I cant see the option for WAP2/AES on the web console.#

In most of the earlier codes the only selection is WPA.  It autodetects which version to use.  You will know if it supports WPA2 if AES encryption is an available option.

In other words, if there isnt an option when I select the Express Security tab then the device does not supports it?
