Setting up a new 7975G & 7962G on CM 6.x

Hello,

We just purchased a 7975G and 7962G, however when I tried adding the phones the only options I get are the 7975 & 7972 (Non-GiG). Does this matter, can I upload the firmware for these phones so I can have them in my selections.

We have Call Manager System version: 6.1.2.1000-13.

Hi

'G' on it's own doesn't mean Gigabit - it means 'Global'... i.e. you get sticker, not printed on labels for 'Messages' etc.

Also a quick way to verify if its a gig phone or not is to flip it over and loop at the to SW port.  If its gig it will say 10/100/1000 and then you will choose the 79XX-GE.
