What would cause a 7911 or 7912 to not pass data through it?

Are you using voice and data VLANS for the phone and PC? Is the PC receiving an IP address? If you remove the phone, does the PC regain connectivity? Are you using CME or CCM? If you are using CCM, there is a section under the phone config that says disable PC port. You may want to verify that its enabled.

We use a voice VLAN. Can not ping the PC. If you remove the phone the PC regains connectivity. We have had this happen once before and it was just a matter of replacing the IP phone with another one of the same model and the PC regained connectivity. When I set up the phones I do not Disable the PC Port.

If that is the case, have you tried replacing the phone to see if its the configuration of the phone/switch or if its the phone itself? If you swap the phone and the issue is still there, then you have taken the phone out of the picture as being the problem.
