CUCM6.1 - CUBE - CUCM6.1 with H.323

Hi,

I have the following case. My customer wants to make interconnect between two CUCM 6.1 clusters through IP to IP gateway. The restriction is that one of the Clusters can't use MTP resources. Also we want to preserve the supplimentary features. The most working configuration we found is:

1. Site1 - Intercluster Trunk - Inbound fast start - everything else default (no MTP used), using G.729.

2. Site 2 - Intercluster Trunk - Inbound and Outbound fast start - MTP used, using G.711.

3. CUBE - fast start, emptycapabilities

In this case we have two way calls. Supplimentary services doesn't work. For example when we put call on hold the stream is lost. Our MOH server supports G.729, and Site 2 has transcoder which transcodes the call from 729 to 711.

Please help if you have solution.

do you mean in your cube the call will have one leg g711 and

the other call leg g729 ?

if this is the case you will need a local transcoder to be registered in the cube localy

i think 6.x you don't need MTP for IPIPGW using SIP trunk
