Catalyst 3550 supported IOS???

Unanswered Question

I have a 3550-12G switch that I need to upgrade the IOS on to remediate reported vulnerabilites.  If I go to IOS download on CCO and select the 12G model, the latest version I see available is 12.2(44)SE6.  If I use Ciscoworks SWIM to add an image to the repository, it lists all releases up through 12.2(52)SE.  Interestingly enough, if I select the 24DC model (which was supported longer than the 12G), the latest version available is also 12.2(52)SE.  The AC powered version of this same switch, like the 12G, is 12.2(44)SE6.

The March bundled security advisory states that the IOS version that fixes all of those vulnerabilities is 12.2(50)SE4.

I am confused.  Is Ciscoworks or CCO correct?  If the security advisory is correct and I need 12.2(50)SE4, does that mean that those vulnerabilites will not be fixed on the 3550?  The EOS date on the 12G is May 2, 2011.  Ok, better go to the 3550 support site on CCO and look at the release  notes.  So I click the link titled "Release  Notes for the Catalyst 3550 Multilayer Switch, Cisco IOS Release  12.2(44)SE and Later".  "

The Page You Have Requested Is Not Available

Has anyone else run into this?  TAC case is required here I suspect.

I have this problem too.

CCO is correct.

Last supported image for download on the 3550 platform is 12.2(44)SE6

If you view the EOL announcement

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps646/prod_end-of-life_notice0900aecd8029f777.html

The End of Software Maintenance Releases Date is actually May 2, 2007

You may get the software off the unofficial site anymore , these devices are EOL a long time so Cisco has removed there software from the website for downloading

I copied this into google multiple options turned up c3550-ipbase-mz.122-44.SE6.bin
