WS-C3750-48TS-S connection to 2 core switches....

Hi

I’m trying to get a WS-C3750-48TS-S (Version 12.2(35)SE5) to connect to two different core switches which run HSRP between them (4006, 4506)
Right now
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1-4,1005-4094
switchport mode trunk

on the WS-C3750-48TS-S is connected to the 4006 (Version NmpSW: 6.3(5))  on 4/3 (Module 4 is a WS-X4306-GB). This is working fine.
#module 4 : 6-port 1000BaseX Ethernet
set udld enable 4/2,4/5
set trunk 4/1  on dot1q 1-1005
set trunk 4/2  on dot1q 1-1005

I can’t seem to get
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1-4,1005-4094
switchport mode trunk

again on the WS-C3750-48TS-S to connect to the 4506 (Version 12.2(31)SGA8). Right now it is connected to 5-2 on the 4506 and this module is again a WS-X4306-GB. 5-2 is configured
interface GigabitEthernet5/2 – No link
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1-4,1005-4094
switchport mode trunk
and I’ve tried
interface GigabitEthernet5/2 – No link
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk

I'm a little over my head here... I've tried different gbic, fiber patch cables... etc... Right now I'm really thinking it is a configuration issue. Any tips?

THANK YOU

Hi

If your interface isn't up, it's likely a fibre/sfp issue.

Have you tried reversing the fibre pair?

I have tried different g-bics on the core side but not a differnet sfp...

I'll try that now. I did try switching the fiber pair.
