License overage percent?

Hello All,

I have LMS 3.1 with a 300 device license.  I currently operate below this license limit but this Friday I will inherit more equipment which will bring me to slightly higher than my license limit (less than 10% over).  Will I be able to manage all of my devices in CiscoWorks after I add the new ones in?  I believe I read once that there is an allowance to go over the license amount but I forget the percentage.

If someone could answer me soon, that'd be great!  I need to know for sure if it will work as is or if I have to quickly buy more licenses.

Thanks,

--Jeff

You have a 10% grace buffer.  Device number 331 will not be managed.

Hi Joe,

That's what I thought.  I just didn't remember the number.  I appreciate the help!

Is there any way to control, or any logic to the determination of, which devices fall into the 110% bucket? In my case, I have 1.5k licenses in PROD and 300 for DEV (due to cost consideration). I restore the PROD dbbackup to DEV for testing purposes. It'd be nice to dictate which devices get managed, to get a full representation of hardware types.

Order of addition is the only control factor.  There is no way to shift devices around other than removing the ones which you do not want managed, then adding additional ones you do.
