SPA942 - Fault, will not boot what wrong?

Hello,

I purchased 4 Months ago an SPA942 phone.

Yesterday this phone stopped working as follows:

Applying power to the phone (using the 5Vadapter, not POE) causes it to try to start, but the phone just sits with the MWI light on, the 4 Line buttons in Orange state and the Mute Button red, Headset Green and Speakerphone button Green.

The Screen never displays any text or graphics and stays in a state of Backlight blinking on and off.

Is this a hardware fault that I have to return to the vendor or can I reformat the phone from this state?

This phone was working as my main reception phone without problems prior to this.

Any tips and help appreciated.

Since you can't get into the menu of the phone UI, to reset the device, you'll have to RMA the unit.  Please do so through your vendor or Cisco small business support, phone number at the following link.  http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html  Thank you.
