we are using IPCCE 7.1.4 with CVP 3.1, WE had two sides(A&B) our issue is that CVP side A is taking most of the calls until it gives the message (Port usage percent exceeded maximum allowed, going out of service - The max number of active ports has been reached) while CVP side B is

Occupied by 40%, and the gatekeeper is showing that the two cvp is out of resource, Both voice brwoser A&B is configured with the two application servers A&B(ipcckrtcvpb:8000/servlet/isn ipcckrtcvpa:8000/servlet/isn) and here is rest of Voice browser config:

The Application Server timeout is 9 seconds
The Application Servers Num. Tries is 3
The Media Server timeout is 10 seconds
The Media Server Num. Tries is 2
The Default Connection timeout is 3 seconds
The Media Server Connection timeout is 1 seco
The Application Server connection timeout is
The Called Party hangup timeout is 2 seconds
The list of gatekeepers is "10.0.232.30"
The maximum number of total calls is 400
The H323 ID is "ipcckrtcvpb"
This command is obsolete. Use setGK instead
The Tech Prefix is "2#"
The maximum number of IVR ports is 200
The takeback percentage value is 0
The RAI Max Threshold is 100
The RAI Min Threshold is 80

I need to make good load balancing and redandancy beween the two CVPs.

Good question. Let's start at the PSTN. How many gateways do you have? How do these trunk groups work? How would you redirect calls if a gateway were to fail? ( A redundancy question)

Do all the incoming numbers run a similar dial peer that uses "session target ras" to find one of the 2 call servers? When you test this out of hours do you see a symmetric action by the gatekeeper and the calls round robin exactly across the two VBs? Tech prefixes lined up?

Regards,

Geoff
