Dear All,
I not clear about module IPS , AIP-SSC and AIP-SSM what are different?
So when we can use IPS?
When we can use AIP-SSC?
When we can use AIP-SSM?
So, IPS and AIP-SSC and AIP-SSM different hardware or the same hardware?

AIP-SSM is an IPS module on ASA firewall.
IPS comes in different flavour:
- IPS 4200 series appliance
- AIP-SSM - IPS module on ASA firewall
- IDSM2 - IPS module on 6500 series switch
- AIM-IPS - IPS card on IOS router

AIP-SSC can only be used in ASA 5505 model.
AIP-SSM can be used in ASA 5510, 5520, 5540 models. There are 3 types of AIP-SSM module, ie: AIP-SSM-10, AIP-SSM-20 and AIP-SSM-40.
