5508, LAG, and Switch redundancy

So I have two 3560s with SVIs using HSRP.

If I want to spread the 5508 across both switches am I limited to 1 trunk to each switch and I get to watch the other 6 GigE ports on the WLC collect dust since I can't use LAG.  In other words the 5508 can't support more than one LAG/Portchannel group?

If you are using LAG all of the controller ports will need to be into one switch.  The controller only supports one port-channel.

I was afraid of that.  Hopefully Cisco reconsiders that solution going forward. Thanks for the reply.

The LAGs on the WLC was designed specifically with the Sup720-VSs, 3750 in mind.  This has been further boosted with the availability of newer models such as the 2975 and 2960S.

You have to understand that the WLC (regardless of the model) is a plain Layer 2 "switch".
