Need to do PoE

Unanswered Question

Hello's,

I have a couple Cisco AP's I'd like to get going with Power over Ethernet.  Is there any way to tell from "show version" if my switch supports this?  If so, what do I need to do to go about enabling?

Under "Model Number" your appliance is a WS-C2960G-24TC-L and does not support PoE.  PoE normally have the code "P" after like WS-C2960G-24PC-L.

Just in case, you also verify by using the following commands:

1.  sh inventory - this will give you a brief description of your appliance; and
2.  sh power inline - will tell you if your switch is PoE
