6500 Boot problem

Hi All,

I have 6509 switch withc sup720. I set the bootvar then reboot the switch, the switch can boot successfully. But if i trun off the switch and turn on i find the bootvar settings is gone.

Any body knows what is the reason ?

Have you tried setting this in the running config -

6500(config)# boot system flash

make sure if you have other boot system flash commands in your running config that the one above is first in the list. You can do this ny deleting existing ones, entering the one above and then entering the other ones again if needed.

Do a wr mem and then reload the switch.
