I've got an amplifier plugged into an fxs port on the UC540. I've assigned it an extension for overhead paging, when I dial the extension I here it ringing. The amplifier only amplifies the ring. If I could just dial and talk it make everything better. Anyone have an idea?
On an FXS port, the action of going off-hook is controlled by the station connected to it, not the port itself. Your amplifier would have to support direct connect if you want to go off-hook immediately.
