I have a 10.0.102.0 network and my DHCP server is sitting on 172.16.12.0 network.
I have configured the WLC 2106 (Firmware 220.127.116.11) but I am not sure if that was done properly.
I have added Cisco-LWAPP-CONTROLLER option in the DNS server tied to the Management IP on the WLC (10.0.102.210)
My AP (1522 - Layer 3 only) when consoled into to monitor during boot up keeps saying
"No More AP Manager IP Address Remain " it also says it "did not received a joined response from the controller"
The Big question is Do I need to add the DHCP option 43 in order to get the AP to start talking to the WLC.
Cisco mentioned 5 methods.
1 - 255.255.255.255
2 - DHCP option 43
3 - DNS
4 - OTAP
5 - Manual
For option 5 which I would prefer (Manual), I could not find the mode button (is it the reset button?) to enable LWAPP because it cannot accept commands
LWAPP AP IP address (etc)
After posting this I'll go ahead and perform option 43 and see what happens.
I have attached the AP log file for your information
