Configuration help with France Telecom T2 connection

Hello

I have a "T2" connection from France Telecom.  An ISDN30 (E1) was requested.  Handoff is RJ45.  A standard E1 config is not working.  Does anyone have experience with T2 connections?  As best I can tell, a T2 is essentially the same as an E1.  Router is a 3845, connection can be H323 or MGCP back to a Call Manager.  I could use help on the controller and serial configuration.

Right now I have:

controller E1 0/1/0
pri-group timeslots 1-31

interface Serial0/1/0:15
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn incoming-voice voice
no cdp enable

Thanks very much for any assistance.

Hi

Well, not sure what T2 is (the liquid Terminator wasn't it?)..

But most places in Europe outside the UK use 'framing no-crc' under your E1 controller config.

Try that...

Always begin with "show controllers E1".

Hi

We have the same problem.... Can you tell me how you go this thing to work. I have the exact same E1 Config on my router.

Regards

Abraham

Hi Abraham

I believe the root cause of my issue was physical.  The connection from the Fance Telecom box to the router required a cross over instead of a standard T1 cable or a straight through.  If you are still having issues - let me know and perhaps paste in your config.

Hi Abraham

Here are the relevant pieces of my configuration, this is on a 2811.  I am using H323 back to a CM 7.  You will see mine is a fractional E1 so the timeslots are different.
