How big is your CF again?  How big is the IOS you are trying to load?  Upload the IOS that require only 64mb.  Try using TFTPDNLD process as this is alot faster.

Hi,

please see bellow the error

Readonly ROMMON initialized

program load complete, entry point: 0x8000f000, size: 0xcb80

open(): Open Error = -66

boot: cannot open "flash:"

boot: cannot determine first executable file name on device "flash:"

c2811 platform with 524288 Kbytes of main memory

Main memory is configured to 64 bit mode with ECC enabled

Ok then.  Reload the router and let it go into ROMmon.  On the first prompt type "i" and hit return.  Load the IOS again using TFTPDNLD.  Make sure you load the IOS that requires only 64mb and not the larger one.

Ok.  Now I'm getting confused.  Your post shows that the router is unable to boot but you are more concerned about the CF upgrade from 64mb to 128mb.  Am I understanding your issue?

If this is your issue, my question is this:  Is the 128mb CF formated by the router?

Hi,

Actually i have no much more idea but i know this router is support 128

MB flash and my DRAM is 512.

please tell how i know "128mb CF formated"

please reply

What is the result of the command "dir flash:"?

hi,

Readonly ROMMON initialized

rommon 1 > dir flash:

program load complete, entry point: 0x8000f000, size: 0xcb80

open(): Open Error = -66

dir: cannot open device "flash:"

please reply

Right, this can mean either the following:

1.  There is no CF in the CF slot of your router; or
2.  CF is faulty

Have you tried loading the IOS into the DRAM using the "-r" option?

hi,

my 64MB flash is properly working on the same router but problem is only

when try to upgrade 128MB flash.

Hi Arup,

Kindly leave the 128mb CF out of the picture as of the moment.  The current issue is that your router WILL NOT BOOT.  I would like to solve this issue first before tackling the 128mb issue.

If you say that the 64mb CF works in other routers, kindly insert the 64mb CF into the router and see if it will boot.
