7936 tweaking/calibration

We have an odd shaped conference room with bad accoustics and some ambient noise from other equipment.  We are using the extension mic kits.  Users report many problems being heard and hearing people on the phone.   Replacing the phone didn't seem to help.

Is there any way to calibrate the mics and speakers on a 7936 conference phone?

Is there any way to boost the speaker volume other than the +/- on the phone itself (it is registered with CUCM 6.1.4 and we use an 3515-MCU12 for audio conferencing)?

Would buying a 7937G phone help anything?

What are the dimensions of the room?

I'm not aware of any way to 'tweak' the mics, beyond considering/testing placement carefully and taking into account the size of the room and directionality of the mics.

If background noise is such a large issue, you may need to address that. Try to see where the noise is coming from primarily and see what can be done about it...
