How disable system message of Cisco Routers.

Hi Guys I´m new here, and I´m studying of CCNA in the Dominican Republic.


How can I disable systema message or alerts of a router or switch???


Example:



if i type: no shutdown in a interface display the following message or alert


%LINK-5-CHANGED: Interface FastEthernet0/1, changed state to upEste(config-if)#


or if after that I type end, the following message or alert appear:


%SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console


How can I disable this??? Help me!

Hi,


This command is quite straight forward and you’ll loose the ability to see what’s going on in the router/switch  while you are configuring. You might want to know when a network interface goes up or down, neighbor relationship formation, etc. So this is the least useful method, but you do not get any messages on your console.

use this command in the global config mode

"no logging console"

Hi Guys, thank for your answer that was what I was looking for.


Ganessh.iyer, I appreciated your recomendation but I´m not working in a real network, this is a practice that my teacher assigned me, is only a requeriment to complete the practice, in a real configuration I will try to no use.

Sorry to bump this ancient post, but it comes up at the top of google and I thought it was worth mentioning that maybe the original requester would have been happy with logging synchronous.
