Can the SSH login user account be changed from "pix" to something else?

Hi,
Sure.
The default is pix with no password.
You can change that by creating a user on the PIX:
user test password test123 privi 15
Set SSH to use LOCAL authentication (assuming you already have SSH working fine).
aaa authentication ssh console LOCAL
Federico.
