I have a 6.1 Call Manager connected via a sip trunk to the provider. When we receive international calls the number always comes with the (+) plus sign and in so doing we are not able to see who called us via the missed calls and received calls directories because what shows up is Private.
Anyone know how to drop the (+) plus sign?
thanks in advance

Is the SIP trunk going through a gateway or directly from CUCM to the provider. If through a gateway, configure a voice translation rule to strip the +.

Hope this helps.

Hi
The sip trunk is going directly from the CUCM to the provider.

I'm not sure it's possible in this case. Maybe someone else will chime in if I'm missing something. You could contact the carrier to see if they will strip the + before sending.
