question on 'sh voice port summary'

I have several 2851 routers set-up with VoIP (using two PVDM2-64 modules for DSP).

The routers are configured in a manner where all the calls are off-netted via ISDN (using a VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1).

The call processing (Call Manager) functions traverse a MPLS T-1 using h323.

Why are there 400 extra voice ports (in addition to my normal isdn-voice ports) showing up on a 'sh voice port summary' output?

Those 400 ports have a 'SIG-TYPE' of "efxs" and look like this:

router1#sh voice port summary
                                          IN       OUT
PORT           CH   SIG-TYPE   ADMIN OPER STATUS   STATUS   EC
============== == ============ ===== ==== ======== ======== ==
50/0/1         1      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/1         2      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/2         1      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/2         2      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/3         1      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/3         2      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/4         1      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y
50/0/4         2      efxs     up    up   on-hook  idle     y

Is there any graceful way to have my monitoring platform NOT automatically learn these extra ports?

Any insight appreciated.

-Doug

These are ephone-dn virtual FXS ports. You will have one for each channel of each ephone-dn configured. For example, a dual-line ephone-dn will have two ports. Not sure about how to configure your monitoring platform to not look at these ports.

Hope this helps.
