Cat 66500 High CPU (BGP Issue)

I am seeing high CPU and BGP hold time expiring frequently during the day happening pretty much at the same time. I have tried using rmom, embedded event manager to investigate what proccess is ultilising high CPU with no success.

What i need to do is syslog when it happens again with process PID. Any ideas?

Tired using cisco works but dont have HUM.

Hello Francisco,

check if the IOS supports EEM (and what version of EEM),  this is the kind of things that can be done with it

Joe Clark that writes in network management is the reference for EEM

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6815/products_ios_protocol_group_home.html

with a tool like this the network device takes part in proactive monitoring

Hope to help

Giuseppe
