Hi all,

I'm interested in using the WCCP in our organization. I do have Catalyst 3550. My issue is, i cant find a proper document informing me how to use wccp for https (port 443) traffic. Most of the documentation are mentioning http (port 80). My proxy is the Blue Coat ProxySG .

If i need to change the ios release or hardware (newer than 3550, but not a 4k or 6k series, (we do have 3650, 3750)), i would gladly do that.

The 3550 only supports TCP port 80 for WCCP. However the 3560 supports the use of other services as well. Have a look at this link which explains service groups, i believe the service for https is 70 but you need to test -

ah, thanks man. I think im at fault for not doing my research properly. Should have looked better.

Yes, indeed it showed me that 3550 should not be used to redirect other traffic other than http. but what is suprising is. in the command line. it is showing me the option of ip wccp [service-number]. I think it will show the command but not work. anyways, that switch is in the production. And i dont think ill be doing real time test on it right now.
